FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ABOUT CBD

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in cannabis plants, classified as a cannabinoid. CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it will not make you feel high.

Terpenes are naturally occurring compounds found in plants that give them their distinct aromas and flavors. If you love the smell that fills your home when you bring home a Christmas tree, you largely have the terpene pinene to thank. Some terpenes can have therapeutic effects as well – think aromatherapy.

A few common terpenes that can be found in hemp are:

  • Pinene – the aroma most associated with pine trees
  • Linalool – contributes to the floral flavor and scent of lavender
  • Limonene – commonly found in citrus peels
  • Humulene – associated with hoppy aromas

Cannabinoids are naturally occurring chemical compounds found in plants (phytocannabinoids) and in humans and animals (endocannabinoids).

The most well-known plant cannabinoids are THC and CBD, but there are many more. A few other common ones found in hemp are:

  • Cannabigerol (CBG)
  • Cannabinol (CBN)
  • Cannabichromene (CBC)

The most studied endocannabinoids are anandamide (AEA) and 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG). Cannabinoids interact with the endocannabinoid system to trigger various responses. Because phytocannabinoids are similar to endocannabinoids, they activate the same receptors in our bodies.

Endocannabinoid systems (ECS) are present in all creatures that have a backbone, including you and most pets.

The ECS is a complex network found throughout the body with receptors for cannabinoids to trigger various functions. The best-known cannabinoid receptors are CB1, found mostly in the brain and nervous system, and CB2 receptors found mostly in the immune system, digestive system, and most major organs.

The ECS has a role in regulating inflammation, pain, memory, stress, sleep, and many other functions in the body. Research on the endocannabinoid system began in the 1990’s and it is still being studied. We encourage you to do some research to find out some of the many properties of cannabinoids and what they can do for your body.

Naturally occurring endocannabinoids interact with CB1 and CB2 receptors in our bodies to regulate many systems. CBD is also able to interact with the CB1 and CB2 receptors in your body’s endocannabinoid system. Because plant-derived cannabinoids have similar chemical makeup to our natural cannabinoids, they can produce similar responses.

The person most qualified to answer this question is your physician. We recommend consulting your doctor before taking CBD to determine if it is appropriate for your needs and what dosage they recommend if it is.

If your pet has a back bone, they have an endocannabinoid system.

The person most qualified to determine what CBD can do for your pet is your veterinarian. Your vet can let you know if CBD is appropriate for your pet’s needs and what dosage they recommend if it is.

There is no recorded lethal dose of CBD, however if you notice any adverse effects after taking CBD consider lowering your dosage and discussing your CBD regimen with your physician. We recommend you start small and slowly increase your dosage until you find the minimum dose required to feel your desired effects.

It is important to note that CBD is known to inhibit cytochrome P450 enzymes, which can interfere with the metabolism of some prescription drugs (much like grapefruit, but stronger). If you are currently taking any medications, we urge you to talk to your physician about possible drug interactions and how/if you can incorporate CBD safely.

ABOUT EVO3 CBD PRODUCTS

EVO3 CBD extracts are derived from hemp plants grown on licensed farms in The United States using pesticide-free organic farming practices.

Our full spectrum CBD oils do contain trace amounts of CBD (below the legal limit of 0.3%). If you take a full spectrum oil every day it is possible for the THC to build up in your system and cause a failed drug test.

Our broad spectrum CBD oils and topicals do not contain THC. Drug tests are typically screening for THC, not CBD. Since our broad spectrum products do not contain THC it is highly unlikely you will fail a drug test. Legally, we cannot guarantee that you will pass your drug test, so we urge you to do your own research and use your best judgement.

It is also important to note that CBD affects the metabolism of THC. If you stop using THC but continue to use CBD, the THC will stay in your system longer than if you were to quit using cannabis altogether.

No, a prescription or medical card is not necessary. If you are over the age of 18 you are eligible to purchase EVO3 CBD products!

If you are unsure what product you want to use, we suggest starting with our 1000 mg strength CBD oils. Many people prefer full spectrum oils, but if you want to avoid THC then our broad spectrum oils are right for you.

If you are looking to use CBD for specific problem areas, our CBD topicals can offer extra-strength targeted relief exactly where you need it!

EVO3 CBD Roll On

EVO3 CBD Muscle Rub

  • Cream absorbs easily into skin
  • Safe to reapply as often as needed

EVO3 CBD Topical Spray

  • Menthol gives a cooling effect
  • Safe to use up to 5 times per day

We suggest starting with 1mL servings of one of our 1000mg strength CBD oils taken twice per day. If you want to feel stronger effects, increase your dose by 0.25mL until you reach your desired result.

You should feel a mild effect from the CBD within 30 minutes. If your CBD dose gives you a headache or makes you tired (unless that was your intention) you may be taking too much at a time. CBD is not a quick fix solution. Maximum relief is achieved by taking your CBD consistently every day, like you would do with vitamins.

For more in-depth answers to these questions, see our EVO3 CBD New User Guide.

The effects of CBD oils can typically be felt 15 to 30 minutes after placing the oil under your tongue. The effects of CBD topicals can typically be felt within 10 minutes.

The effects of a single dose of CBD can last up to 8 hours, depending on your metabolism. We recommend taking CBD oil twice per day to maintain CBD levels in the body. The longer you consistently take CBD, the more you will truly feel the results. We challenge you to take your CBD oil every day for one week to see what we mean!

The CBD topicals typically last 2-4 hours and can be reapplied as needed to offer you relief all day long.

Yes! But please consult your veterinarian first about recommended dosages and possible drug interactions with any other medications.

EVO3 CBD Oil comes in a specially formulated lower strength that can be easily measured and given to your pet of any size.

There is a section in our EVO3 CBD New User Guide dedicated to helping you safely give EVO3 CBD to your pet.

Our large 60 mL bottles are twice the size of the industry standard so they are easy to handle, easy to read, and you can enjoy your CBD for twice as long. If you take 1mL of CBD oil twice per day, your bottle should last about one month.

EVO3 CBD oils have relatively long shelf lives when stored properly. We recommend using your EVO3 CBD Oil within 2 years of the date printed on the label. It is unlikely that a single bottle will expire before you finish using the product, but if you buy in bulk or find a long-lost bottle please check the label to ensure the product is still at peak potency and freshness.

We recommend storing your EVO3 CBD bottles in a cool, dark, dry place in an upright position. A pantry or cupboard is an ideal location. Refrigeration is not necessary and will not significantly extend the shelf life of the oil.

Some factors that can degrade your EVO3 CBD product are prolonged exposure to oxygen, light, and heat.
